hawes cal .22 mag. derringer

Hi my name is Nick an am a first time user of this site.  I would like to thank you for taking my question. I have a hawes derringer I fired this piece on veterans day in my dads memory,it was his favorite piece. Unfortunately while trying to open it the over and under barrel broke at the pivot pin (I belive it being cast)I am desperately seeking a replacement barrel.  Stamped on the top of the barrel hawes firearms company Los angles calif. and on the left side it says western derringer on the right side made in Germany cal .22 magnum.  Looking to find parts or whole firearm.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for having such a helpful website.

Sorry to hear about your Dad's gun.  There are a few places you can check to see if they might have a barrel.  The most likely places are:

If you don't see the part listed, give them a call or email them as they may not have updated their sites recently.

It is going to be pretty tough to find parts for these as the gun was actually manufactured by the J. P. Sauer company in Germany and imported by Hawes (a importing company located in Van Nuys, CA).  Honestly, I'm not even sure if J. P. Sauer is even still in business.

I've seen a couple of the Hawes derringers sell there for around $100.
