Question
I have a rifle that i'm trying to identify. It is a bolt action in 25-06 caliber. The only markings on it read ,Saint Hubert Co.,and 2506 on the right side of barrel. On the left side it reads "England".the butt plate has INTERARMS printed on it.Any info you can give me would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Answer
Hi Robbie.
Interarms imported many different firearms from various places and sold them under numerous trade names. I can't say for certain without inspecting your rifle in person but it sounds like a Whitworth Mark X Vscount rifle. These were made in England for a number of years and then discontinued, but some additional Mark X rifles were made in Yugoslavia as late as 1997.
The Mark X Viscount rifles were available in various calibers including 22-250 Rem, 243 Win, 25-06 Rem, 270 Win, 7x57mm, 7mm Rem Mag, 308 Win, 30-06, and 300 Win Mag.
You can find some additional information about Interarms and the Mark X rifles in the blue book as noted via the following link:

Here is a search link which might help as well:
