Noble 12 Double Barrel 12 guage

Question
I was given a this shotgun for Christmas in 1970. It recently burned in a house fire. AH! I know it is not an expensive gun but it did have sentimental value. I need to know what the gun is actually worth for insurance purposes and also if I could possibly find another one and where. I've searched the net but have had no luck. Not very literate with the net either.
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Perry,
Most of the shotguns imported by Noble were of spanish origin. They were good utilitarian guns, but not very collectable. They were imported between 1953 and 1971. Overall there is not a lot of information on these guns as you have seen. The shotguns can have a pretty broad range depending on features and condition, but in no case are they going to be worth more than $300. Generally $150 to $200 seems to be the going rate.
If you want to find a replacement, I'd try these two websites:
www.gunbroker.com
www.gunsamerica.com
Both will occasionally show listings for Noble side by side shotguns in 12 gauge.
Sorry I can't be of more help...

Doug
