Question
QUESTION: Need assistance/resource for information/value of a .308W rifle made by Midland Gun Company and imported according to the markings on rifle "JANA DENVER COL. I have already found out that this weapon is no longer manufactured by Midland Gun Company. I am also aware that question may not be part of your choice to answer. What I would really like is a resource to turn to for answers. My father-in-law would like to sell this gun and we (my husband and myself) desire to help him find a fair market value. Thank you for any assistance you are able and choose to render.
Gratefully Yours, Mike & Michelle Novotny

QUESTION: Thank you for your prompt response. I am aware that Midland is still in business and have contacted them re: this particular rifle. I have not heard back from them as yet. I was hoping that you may give a name of the person at ALLEXPERTS who is able to help. In reading everyone's BIO's, I came to the conclusion that the person to ask was you. There was one other person, but they were answering Q's in 2007 and up through April, 2008 and I did not see them available anymore on your panel of experts. That person is Sid Lark. If there is a way to contact him I would be most grateful if you choose to forward this to him. Once again, thanks for your speedy response. V/R, M & M N
Answer
We all work individually on volunteer basis.
Unfortunately I don't have any
contact with the others who volunteers to answer questions.
I all I can tell Jana was an arms importer who is no longer in business.
Midland was bought out by Parker Hale in 1965.
You could try finding something thats the same at either of sites and see what they are asking.

If you contact a local gun store and ask to set a price on it.
It may well be listed in the Blue Book price guide.
Its an expensive subscrition service. Unless you buy and sell
firearms its too expensive maitain it.
You have them appraise it for a fee.

You try getting a price here if its listed.
They charge a fee as well.
