Question
QUESTION: where can i find rounds for a colt cobra .22 long rifle ctg, and what is the value of this pistol?
ANSWER: Mac,
You can literally pick up .22 long rifle ammo at any gun store or WalMart. It is very inexpensive. As far as value on this pistol, I normally don't offer this type of answer as it is highly dependent on the condition of the gun. Since I can examine the gun, any value info I give you is approximate.
Based on information from the 28th edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values, the approximate value of a Colt Cobra in .22 cal that is in 80% condition is around $270. 90% condition would be around $300 and 95% condition would be around $510. 95% condition would be an exceptional specimen. These guns were manufactured between 1950 and 1972, so if you have an earlier one in excellent condition, you could see a premium offered by a 'colt collector'.
To get a really accurate value, you should have a knowledgeable gun appraiser have a look at it...
Hope this helps and best wishes for a Happy New Year.

QUESTION: no sir the chamber is too wide to fit your normal .22 lr casing. i can not find them anywhere
Answer
Mac,
Sorry to disagree, but there is only one type of .22 LR cartridge.
Here are a couple of links to take a look at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_Cobra_.38_Special_revolver
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_Long_Rifle
The Cobra was calibered in .22 LR, .32 Colt New Police, .38 Colt New Police and .38 Special.
I don't know if it is possible that someone has modified your gun, but as you can see from the Wikipedia article on .22 LR, the caliber has essentially been the same for over 100 years.
Perhaps you should check in with a reputable gunsmith in your area to have them take a look at what is going on. Without being able to look at the gun, I can only go on the information available to me...
Have a Happy New Year...

Doug
