Question
i was wondering the value of a remington model 12 with a round 20in barel and gold or brass butt plate and trigger serial number 584318
Answer
Hello Trent. Values of firearms are relative. Most Model 12's in good condition can bring from $200.00 to over $1,000.00. They were made in Grade A,B,C,C NRA Target,D,E and F. These grades were from Standard to Premier. The only one I found with a round barrel was the Standard Grade. All of the other grades were manufactured with octagon barrels. I could not find any reference to a Model 12 with a gold-plated or brass butt-plate and trigger. Also, the Model 12 was made from 1909-1936. From 1921-36 the manufacture month and year were in a two or three letter code stamped on the left side of the barrel. If this is not the case with your rifle, it could have been manufactured between 1909-1920. I hope this has answered your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
