Hi William.

The Sears Model 54 was made by Winchester as a cheaper version of the Model 94 and then sold by Sears. These guns are typically chambered in 30-30 Winchester and the caliber should be stamped on the side of the barrel. I don't have the serial number data but these links should help you:
