JC Higgins 583

Question
I have recently bought a JC Higgins 20ga bolt action shot gun with some sort of selector on the barrel, one can you tell me what the selector is for and how to use it and if there is a recall on this weapon, If so who do I contact about the recall.

Its a polychoke simple turn it till it lines up with
Imp Cylinder, Modified or Full.
You can see it tighten or loosen constriction.

The some model 583 that were recalled. They were made by High Standard.
JC Higgins 583.25 was made by H&R and not subject to a recall.
