Stevens 67L series E question

Question
I recently picked up a Stevens 67L series E 12 gauge pump action shot gun. I fired a couple rounds through it and took it apart to clean it thoroughly. While looking around I noticed the hammer is fractured. I am looking for a replacement hammer but I can only find parts for a model 67 series E... NOT a 67L series E. I have no idea what the difference is and no parts dealers can seem to tell me if what they list as a 67 Series E part will work. I am at a loss here.
Thanks
Answer
Hello Matthew.
I recommend the following source for hard to find gun parts:
http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=089Zz67L%20SERIES%20E&MC=
http://www.brownells.com/
Their websites and catalogs rarely list their complete parts inventory so call them and talk with a parts specialist to be sure. If they are not able to help you then you could also visit a local gunsmith or metal shop and they should be able to fabricate a replacement part for you provided that you still have the old defective part for them to use as a model.
If all else fails then you could shop for the same gun in used condition and you might find it cheap, which would give you a bunch of spare parts just in case something else wears out later. Here are some sites to check for used guns or parts:
http://www.auctionarms.com/
http://www.gunbroker.com/
http://www.gunsamerica.com/
And finally, here is a general search link which may help you find a lot of other info:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=stevens+67l+%22series+e%22&aq=f&oq=
Hope this helps!
