.22 Pistol by Hammerli

Dear Sir,

I am in possession of a .22 LR pistol with the marking of Hammerli on the slide, though it looks like a walther PPK. I would be highly obliged if you could kindly let me know the model of the pistol as well as if it would fire high velocity .22 cartridges. The serial no. of the pistol is 3991.
