Question
Hello,
Would you please send me any information that you have on a Lefever Arms Co. 410 Nitro Special, Side by Side, 26" Barrel Double Triggers, Serial Number A203019.
I am most interested in the value and replacement for stock and forearm.
Thank you for your time.

Answer
Rhonda,
I'm sorry I don't have too much info, but I'll tell you what I know. LeFever Arms was an independent manufacturer from 1885 to 1916 when it was acquired by the Ithaca Gun Company. The Nitro was made between 1921 and 1948. It was made in .410, 12, 16 and 20 gauge versions. Barrel lengths could vary between 26 and 32 inches. A .410 gauge in 98% condition is worth close to $2500 according to the book values. 80% condition would still be worth around $1400.
In terms of the replacement for stock and forearm, the folks at the link below do a really nice job. A used stock and forearm would be preferable, but they will be really hard to find. Understand that replacing the stock and forearm will change the value considerably (down).

Hope this helps you out...
