scope mounting
hi iv got a stevens arms co. model 66c long rifle, iv been looking for a scope to attach to it and i cant seem to find a rail that would fit. do you have any idea of were i could find the scope that would fit this particular rifle or am i just going to have to use it with the traditional sights that are on the gun? its hard finding accessories for such an old rifle.

Those screws are probably made for the attachment of a special side-mounted scope rail accessory which would be a metal "L" shaped plate that provides standard scope rails that would sit horizontally above the breech. I am pretty sure that Weaver makes a side mount and scope ring set for your gun. Check this link out then give them a call to be sure.

Once you have the mount and rings then you can get almost any scope for it.
