Can .22 LR cartridges be fired from a Savage .22 WMR?

Doug,

No, you cannot. The chambering on the two rounds is different. The .22 LR will fit, but it will not work properly and could cause damage to the gun and injury to you if you attempt to shoot .22 LR in a .22 WMR gun.
