Question
I'm trying to mount a scope on my Golden Eagle 7000 but don't know which bases to use. I want a two-piece base by either Leupold or Burris. Can you supply me with the item
#(s) that will fit it? Thanks, in advance.
Answer
Don,
The Nikko 7000 was marketed as the Winchester Model 777 in Europe. I also understand that the Remington Model 710 uses the same mount as a Nikko 7000.
Since I don't know what type of scope you want and the rings vary with the scope, you might want to check out the following webpage at Leupold.
http://www2.leupold.com/resources/MountFitChart/default.asp
Burris should be able to provide rings if you use the Winchester or Remington model references.
http://www.burrisoptics.com/mountchart1.html
According to the Weaver scope mounts cross reference, both front and rear use a #71 mount for the Golden Eagle 7000.
Hope this helps you out...
