Stevens Marksman .22 long rifle

I recently came into this model gun. It has a number under the gun by the trigger of V 985. It is a Marksman and not the Stevens Favorite of early models. Any idea where I can find a price estimate and the year made. It is in really good condition.

Unfortunately, there are not good serial number records on many of the old J. Steven's guns.  I can tell you that the No. 12 Marksman was manufactured between 1912 and 1933.  There were approximately 161,000 of these guns manufactured.  Without being able to either see the gun or see detailed photos, I can't grade the condition.  I will be happy to give you some price ranges.  In excellent condition, these are worth about $400.  In very good condition, about $350.  In good condition, about $250.

That's about the best I can do without actually seeing the gun...
