Question
Dear Comrade,
i am paul writing from the island of malta......here hunting consists only of turtle doves, quails, skylarks, starling and song thrushes. However I have decided to purchase a new shotgun which most probably will be my last one. My first choice was a benelli but now I am veering to an all rounder functioning by gas. Can you help me here? Which according to you fits our country's hunting birds and is simultaneously gas operated.
Sincerely hoping to hear from you soon i thank you in advance.
Regards.

Answer
Hi Paul,
I am in the United States and do not know what arms are definately available on Malta.
I would ask an expert thats in Europe. They would more likily be able to help you.
Models exported to USA are not alway the same name or models that are sold in other places.
That being said;
Franchi, Benelli, Remington or Barretta all make semi auto shotguns that will serve you well.
If its available there the Benelli Vinci is the first real improvement in Semi Autos in a long time.
A variation of this action was just adopted by the US Army as a combat shotgun.
The down side its expensive. The Beretta Xtrema2 is also excellent but expensive.
Franchi 48 AL or I 12 works well and is less money.
Remingtons 1100 & 11-87 are lower tech but work well
Sorry I can't be of more help
