i have a 1924 mauser that i'm trying to get information about it has markings the best that i can make out is <fabrica armas jvied 1924

You have a 1924 Spanish Mauser.
Oviedo was a Spanish government arsenal. They made Mauser type rifles, generally based on the Model 1893 action, and most originally in 7mm Mauser (7x57mm) caliber. These were used by Spanish troops until they got 8mm Mausers around 1939, and most of the older rifles were sold as surplus in the 1960s and 70s.
