What is the fundamental differences in skeet shooting, trap shooting and sporting clays?

In simple terms;
Trap simulates upland bird hunting, with the target launching out from infront of you.
1 bird launched at a time, Typically shots are 35 to 45 yards away.

Skeet is more launches side to side and come from 2 different direction.
The can be single or doubles depending on station. Shots are much closer being 20 yards away or less.

Sporting Clays is set up in wooded areas trying to replicate real hunting.
Each station is type of hunting not all are birds there are rabbits that bounce on the ground for example. 50 shots used in total. Both single and double shots.
