Question
I'm looking for info about a pistol and rifle that were my Dad's and I know nothing about firearms. The pistol is a .32 caliber Llama Especial serial # 193089. The rifle is pretty much unidentifiable in that i can't locate a serial number or manufacturer. Please give me some advice on what steps i can do to identify these firearms. Thanks Kati, Menlo Park,California
Answer
Kati,
The pistol is probably a Llama Model XA. In 90% condition they are only worth about $150. They were not expensive guns to begin with. They were distributed in the US by Stoeger Industries.
In terms of the rifle, I can't tell you much about it without knowing the manufacturer or model number. It might not have a serial number since they were not required on rifles until 1968. Take a look at the barrel and then underneath the rifle forward of the trigger area. There should be some info somewhere.
I'd be happy to help, but without more info there is not much I can do.
Best regards,
Doug
