Question

The gun
Dear sir. I recently got from my grandfather his old gun. He was fireman officer from 1935-1960 here in GREECE. This one, was the gun that his service provided him. Here my knowledge stops and I can not find a start to renew it. Please help me. The image has anything I can find on it. Thanks.

Answer
Well it look old, that is for sure.  I have never seen this so I can't help you.  I would spray it down with some good oil and put it in a zip lock plastic bag.  After it sets for a few days it should help make some rust go away and then wipe it down and try and find markings.  Then I would look for the oldest guy you can find in the area or go to the local police station and find some old retired cop that still hangs around and show the gun to him.  There is some old gun collector or old retired gun guy or cop that will know something but you have to find him.
