Question
I was lookin thru my dads gun safe for my .20 (Dove seeson)and found an old gun. My mom sed thay didnt sell then anymor,just the ammo,but my dad sed thay wer just reely expensiev. So is this gun old and rare,or just expensiev?
my mom got it from her grampa

.28 gauge guns and ammo are still being made.
I would need the brand name and to tell you anything about it.
Its possible that particular maker is no longer in business.
.28 gauge is is used in Dove & Quial hunting and it has its own class in skeet shooting.
(VP Chaney was using a .28 gauge when he shot the lawyer by accident)
The guns range from single shot utility grade shotgun to very high end doubles.
While not common, its rare either. It could old and not worth much, or very valuable or somewhere in between.
