Question
QUESTION: I recently traded for this gun and when I was cleaning it up I noticed that the the information was double stamped. Does this make the gun more or less valuable? The gun itself is in good condition, just needs to be well cleaned.

ANSWER: Hi,
Its unlikily it would add any value.
There really no collectors interest in Davis Guns.

QUESTION: I tried to go to this site: http://pez63.freeyellow.com, but I got an error message. Approximately how much are Davis doubles worth? I saw one in an online auction and the reserve price was $650.00. Is this way out of range? I traded approximately $300 worth of merchandise for the gun. Did I get the best or the worst of the trade?

Answer
Hi again,
The website is long dead.
A couple of models of Davis guns are worth $800 to $1000 in excellent condition.
Grade A,B, and C Hammerless, Drade D and DS Hammer Guns, and Davis "B" Magna steel.

Most NR Davis guns are worth $100 to $450 depending on model and condition.
$275 is typical for most guns in very good condition.
