Hunter Hawken Powder Load

2016/7/22 9:09:01

Question
I just acquired a Hunter Hawken black powder .50 cal rifle  by Connecticut Valley Arms Inc and am unsure of how much powder to load it with.  If you can let me know or direct me where to get this information I would be very thankful.

Answer
Hello Joseph. I shoot a CVA Hawken .50 caliber. I have been working out a load for New Mexico Elk and haven't gotten there quite yet. When you ask about a powder load for your CVA Hawken .50 caliber, I can direct you to a pdf file that will answer most all your questions. www.cva.com/pdfs/Side.pdf. You can also google CVA.com and at the top of the page there is about 6-8 subjects. Click on VIDEOS and you can go to CVA 101. I really found it informative. I hope this helps answer your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
