JAC&C 22cal

Question
I'm looking for any information about a JAC&C 22cal single shot rifle.  It has an octagon barrel and has E over LG in a circle on the barrel.  Serial is 2xx.

Hello Dennis. If you have not abbreviated the name on this firearm and it truly is stamped JAC&C, I have not been able to find any firearm company with this listing. However, I did recognize the circle with the E over LG as being German.According to WWII ordinance codes, these letters refer to the W.A.S.A.G.,ELSNIG Arms Plant. There were several firearms manufacturing plants in the Rhineland before and after WWII that were either destroyed or converted to other uses. The description you give of your rifle sounds very "GERMAN" to me. I cannot give you a manufacture date without locating information on your firearm.
