I have a Chales Daly 10g side by side bamscacus twisted barrel and its black powder and its has a number 40 on the handle of the gun. I'm trying to fine the year of it and how much its worth can you help me ? thank you

It sound like a Prussian made Daly imported shotgun.
These were high end guns.
They are very collectable.
Basically you need to get a it appraised by a gunsmith.
Its value can run to from $500 to $25,000 depending condition & grade.
