I have a Ted Williams mod. 73 in 30:06. I was told it is basically a Winchester 70.It looks like a model 70. I was wondering if I could replace the stock with a post 64 long action stock. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I happen to have the same gun. I recently replaced it with post '64 long action stock made for the model 70. As with many stock replacements, some adjustment may be needed.  There were several different magazine covers available with model 70s and with the Ted Williams, so I had to use a Dremel tool to clear out some of the area near the magazine well.
