Question
I recently purchased a Heritage Firearms 22/22mag revolver. It has fixed sights.. It shoots high and to the right quite a bit, I can compensate for the amount it is off, but it is not very fun to shoot unless the gun is on..
Answer
You said high and to right a bit, if it does not do it all the time it is shooter and not sights. Depending on how sights are fixed, they can still be adjusted. Some people hold sight right on target and other hold it at what is called a 6 O'clock hold. Depending on how much you want to put in, you can take to gun smith and they can fixed the sights, you can trial and error and move the rear sights left and right to see what works as for high, that is a bit harder to fix, if it is shooting high you need to move front sight up, which means replacing with a taller one, if shooting low, you can tap the front sight down a bit and flatten it little by little and that will bring bullet up. Some time in some guns the front sight is hit, banged and smashed over time and that will move the bullet higher. You could try and flatten the front sight in a vice, that would make it thinner but taller and that would bring the bullet down.
