German Pistol

Rick, First thank you for what you do. Now, I have a 32 cal, automatic made by Theodor Bergmann Erben. It is a Spezial Modell.
The other info on the left side of the slide is "Waffenfabrik Shul". The only numbers I can find are 3944 on the frame behind the left grip and a 44 on the side of the trigger. The proof mark is a crown over N. Can you tell me approx. when it was made and if it is rare or not? Cant seem to find any info about this one anywhere. Thanks again !!
