Question
QUESTION: This is a semi-auto .22 cal serial# L220555 made by stevens or one of the purchased companies? The rifle is in decent visual condition but don't know enough whether to get it or leave it alone,or are they a good rifle? I welcome your advise and once you have an answer, please let me know about what the value is and do you think it may increase as most guns do. Thank you for your time.
ANSWER: Hi,
I do not know what you mean by; made by stevens or one of the purchased companies?
Savage/stevens make quality arms.
Stevens is thier value or untilty grade product line.
Scoped, in very good to good condition, $120-$140 used.
Not scoped, in very good to good condition, $80-$100 used.
They are not collectable and will not rise much in value much.

QUESTION: I was pleased with your answer. What I ment about purchased companies was, did stevens make the gun or did the company from canada perhaps make it or savage, thats what caused the confusion. I still gave you a 10 rating since I caused the confusion. I just rember reading stevens/savage history and perhaps had my facts wrong. Thanks again
