age of stevens shotgun

Question
Trying to find age of stevens double barrel shotgun. serial# 244776 could be model 215 or 255. Was told should be one of these two models.

I wasn't able to find out anything on that serial number, but what I did come up with should help. If the gun is marked as "stevens", then it was made AFTER 1940, when J.Stevens name was sold to savage. If you have a J. Stevens gun, it was made inbetween 1913 and 1932. Hope this helps.
