Parker Hale/ Mauser bolt

Question
Hello
I am wondering if there is a simple reason why the bolt on my parker Hale 7mm won't close when a shell is inserted? It works fine when the rifle is empty, but crushes the case when you try to close it?
It is a Mauser action and seems to be in very good shape. It's not mine but I'd sure like to use it, can you help, please?
Answer
That is fairly strange, I have never seen anything like that where the bolt closes when empty and not closing with ammo inserted.
My educated guess would be that the headspace needs to be checked, something is going on there likely something got bent or there is a burr or something else preventing the shell from seating properly, which in turn could case the bolt to not close. If you know nothing about measuring the headspace or polishing the throat of the barrel, I would suggest you just carry the gun to a local gunsmith. He/She could likely fix it up in the matter of 30 minutes as it doesn't sounds like a major issue.
Best of luck!
