QUESTION: You stated that my rifle was made in Yugoslavia. It is stamped on the received Made in Manchester, England.I have been told that the Yugo rifles are a piece of junk, but the England ones are pretty decent.
Also, can you give me a date for the rifle?
Answer
Manchester, England is Interarms old UK address.
Interarms made virtually nothing. They were import export business.
All the Mark X rifles were made in Yugo.
Interarms did import other makes of rifles from other places.
Interarms Whitworth brand were made in England.
However all the Mark X were made in the same place.
The made in Yugo. marking are under the stock.
You need to remove the wood to see it.
There no database to date it.
The feds have all Interarms records when they were closed in the USA.
The company still deals military arms only out of the UK.
The same rifles were imported Charles Daly after Interarms was gone.
