Question
I have a Hawthorne model 110 sold by Montgomery Ward. It is a single shot break open. All of the names and numbers are only on the barrel. They are as follows: HAWTHORNE MODEL 110 20GA-2 3/4 Chamber-FULL MONTGOMERY WARDS EJN-110 .. It also has a very small three figure alpha-numeral 60K or 60X.. There are no watertable marks or stamping marks under the butt pad. It has a recessed thumb button that you pull back to do three functions at once. It opens the barrel, cocks the trigger, and puts the tang safety on. You cannot fire it until you push the safety forward. It also has a half-cock you can put it on and pull back on the safety. Then when you are ready to fire, just pull back on the thumb button to full cock and release the safety. The hammer is only a push-pull button recessed in a concave receiver. I know this is a long and drawnout question, but I have found nothing of the manufacturer. It was not made by the cross-reference listed company. WHO MADE IT??
Answer
You will not find any cross reference list on this gun as it does no exsist. No one knows for certain who made these guns. They had colt, savage, and other gun manufacturing companies supplying them with guns under what is called "Trade names". Montgomery Ward sold these guns exclusively. The closest match I have ever heard of is te Savage Mode SB-100B. Feel free to look that gun up and compare it to your gun.
