Question
2 bullets
Hoping for some feedback on these 2 bullets... Anything at all would be greatly appreciated.
AnswerHello Perry.
It is hard to say for sure which caliber and brand they are because your photo is too blurry. If you can submit a new photo which is clear or reply with the actual markings stamped around the base of each cartridge then I may be able to tell you more. Also, it would help if you can measure the width, length, and diameter with a caliper or precise ruler.
Without further information the best I can do is to tell you that they are both centerfire cartridges with cases that appear to be brass.
The smaller one looks to be a .380 ACP which is also known as 9mm kurz or other names depending on the country of origin. It looks like a full metal jacket bullet thus was probably made for target work. You can read more about that cartridge here:

The larger cartridge appears to be a .44-40 Winchester caliber made by Peters Cartridge Company. This cartridge was originally made for repeating rifles but then also used in pistols. You can read more about that cartridge here:

Older ammunition is generally best for collecting or display only as it may not fire reliably depending on how it has been stored all these years. If unsure of the safety then you can dispose of them safely at any modern shooting range or gunsmith shop, and some recycling centers. Single cartridges in bad condition wouldn't normally have any value unless they were traced to a famous person or gun.
I hope this information helps you. Good luck!
