win model 1894 .30 cal etching oct.bbl

rifle dom is 1897 i can't make out the etchig on the bbl or stock very well.I want to know witch win. patern i have. the reciever& bbl has gold in lay i think indian,animals wildlife scene background. Bbl looks like floral design the butt Stock has indian & animals & or tm.looks very detailed if you can help or know where i can get this information it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Chris. Sounds like you have a keeper! I cannot say for sure, but your details seem to point to the standard engraving done in the Winchester factory. Although they did not make many of these and most were engraved only by special order, your 1894 stands out as a collectors gun. I only have one web address available to me for engravings on Winchesters: www.nationalgunforum.com. I also have a phone number of a collector. It is 1-508-771-3327. I do not have the mans name, but call and ask for the Winchester Collector. I recommend that you google 'Winchester Model 1894 30 wcf engraved rifle' on the net. you may find something I have missed.
