I have a Fabrica De Armas OVIEDO 1928, I bought a box of 7mm rounds, however the rounds were too big for the barrel, do you know what caliber the gun may be?

Answer
It is a 7MM Mauser, not the 7MM hunting round sold in most stores. Here is a link to give you an idea. The round is smaller, same sized bullet, but the casing is necked down to fit carbine style rifles of the day.
