Answer
Hello Jason,
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your question, I see far worse that I frequently do not even bother to answer based on certain reasons. With that said, CZ firearms are better known as "cheap guns" by the gun community. Alot of people at the range, what I like to call "weekend warriors" will turn their nose up as they fire off rounds from their 1400 dollar Kimbers and Colt 1911's.
Here is my stance on this. Let someone shoot you with a "cheap" .45 caliber pistol, and then let someone else shoot you with a 1400 dollar kimber and tell me which hurts the worse. EXACTLY! In the end, in capable hands, you will achieve the same results. Certainly a 1400 dollar kimber is FAR smoother to shoot and far prettier to look at, its life. I personally wouldn't own a kimber unlesss I had the money to throw away. I want a gun that I am not afraid to shoot, ding, scratch, etc. In my opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with a CZ firearm, shooting should be fun and rewarding while you pick up new skills on the firing range, not breaking your bank account just to say "I own XXX Brand".
The biggest thing is just make sure the gun fits your hands and your needs. If you buy a gun that is uncomfortable to shoot, you will likely not have much fun shooting it causing you to NOT shoot and eventually selling the gun.
Best of luck on your decision, have fun and becareful!
