Question
I inheirited a pump shotgun. It says on it J. Stevens Arms Company, Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA  pat's Feb. 7, 1905 and Aug 27, 1907 Serial # 81642-a. I was looking to sell this old rifle but I have no idea what it is worth. Can you help me. Thank you for your time...

Answer
It is hard to put an accurate value on a gun without inspecting it in person. A J. Stevens Arms firearm can generally run you 100-150 dollars in "decent" condition. A little more if it is in excellent condition. There is not much of a collectors interest in these guns.

Best of luck
