i have a side by side 12 gage shotgun it sayes made by s h harrington. It belong to my great grandfather. how old is it and can you tell me something about s h harrington.

S.H. Harrington did not make firearms, it is just a brand name used by Crescent Firearms Company and H.& D. Folsom guns. Those companies merged and produced "hardware guns" until sometime around 1900. These guns have no collectors value, they are all priced as "shooters" at aroun 150 - 200 dollars in good shape. I have a similar gun from my grandfather, it definitely holds more sentimental value than anything, far more than anyone could ever pay for it.
