Question
Hi, I have a Jennings/Bryco .380 Model 48, I know, crapola. How can I de-cock the striker? It's unloaded, but, I can't get the slide or take down button to move & the red firing pin is showing through it. Can you help? Thanks

Answer
Patricia,

It sounds as if something is wrong with the weapon. I never recommend de-cocking the gun by dry firing, especially in a gun that you can't visually inspect the chamber by opening the slide. You will need to carry your gun to a gunsmith in your area to have him/her inspect it. Sounds as if it may be a simple issue with the gun, they should be able to clear it up for you.
