Question
I'm in the process of trying to re-assemble the cylinder latch on this weapon. I seem to not be able to lift the spring and plunger over the oval cover plate to get the plunger to sit correctly on the screw. Is there a special tool? or am I just not doing something right?

Answer
Hello Herb.
Yes, there is a special tool for this job. I recommend that you take it to a competent licensed gunsmith to have it re-assembled. It is a very easy job, with the right tool, so it shouldn't cost much. If I had it here I could do it in less than 10 minutes.
Thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
