Essex 410

Question
I have had an Essex 410 for 51 years.  No.94243.
When was it made ? In good condition.  What is
value?

Answer
Hi,
Essex was a trade name of the Crescent Arms Company of Norwich Ct. on guns sold by Belknap Hardware Company. These were well made utility grade shotguns. There are no records to date them by serial number. I could have been made any time from 1892 to 1934. If it has Damascus Twist steel it was made before 1908. (unsafe to shoot with modern ammo) Armory steel can be from any era. In good condition worth $100
