Question
i was wondering if the .22wmr caliber nickle plated over/under derringer was the only one made from high standard in 1970 or if there are more 1970 derringer out there and how much do you think it would be worth.
Answer
Hello Michael.
High Standard manufactured both a .22 LR and a .22 WMR. The DM-101 Third Series was manufactured from 1970-1975. Serial numbers ranged from 2182380-2500464. Some of the earlier ones had Ivory grips, but most had black grips. From 1975-1984, serial numbers ranged from D01001-D95217V. There was one with Electroless Nickel Finish manufactured from 1981-1983. Serial numbers ranged from D63390-D93632. These had checkered walnut grips. Fjasted's Blue Book of Gun Values gives an estimate of from $100-$350, depending on condition. You might check some of the firearm auction sites such as auctionarms.com, gunbroker.com, gunsamerica.com, or gunsinternational.com.
Hope this answers your questions, and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
