Iver and Johnson

Question
Unknown Revolver
Unknown Revolver
In an estate sale I acquired an old revolver. It seems to be made by Iver and Johnson. It is a top break model, with black plastic/bakelite grips. It has no make, model, or serial number on it. It seems to be a 32 caliber. On the grips there is no owl like I&J usually had. It has  "U.S." stamped there instead. Any ideas?

Thanks

Answer
Hello Joe.
I have changed your question from private to public, since I only answer questions for the public. Your revolver is one of thousands of cheap copies, imported from Spain and Belgium, that flooded the United States from 1910-1936. The only thing original to your revolver are the grips. I would recommend not firing this revolver.
I hope this answers your question, and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
