Question
Good afternoon...hoping you can help with advice/info..
have a "Favourite" SVG (in a circle) dated 1915 looks
like trade mark ..regd u.s pat off & fgm plus j599 on but.
Wanting to know...is it any good? what/who used such a thing
and what value if any....thanking you in anticipation.

Your rifle is a J. Stevens "Favorite" model rifle. You didn't mention the caliber, but at the time of its introduction it was a popular if somewhat utilitarian rifle. They were not expensive and generally speaking are not considered to be all that collectable. They were manufactured between 1894 and 1935. There were three calibers, .22 LR, .25 RF and .32 RF. The first type of ammo is still widely available, the second two are not. The trademark date on yours tells me it was a later rifle.
In 90% condition, the rifle may be worth as much as $200, but 90% condition in a rifle that old is rare. If you happen to have a version that has an octagonal shaped barrel, you can add about 30% to the value of the gun.
