As I mentioned in my review, I saw several of your comments while searching the Internet on the revolver in question, and was taken by the extremely courteous (and knowledgeable) manner in which you answered each. Your writing style is reminiscent of a Southern gentleman.

The revolver in question was found by my stepson as he unpacked boxes (many from his deceased grandparents' estate) after his recent move to Albuquerque. He's not a gun fancier, at least until now, so he deferred to me to identify it. I collect antique guns, mostly Colt percussion revolvers, so he figured I might be a good resource. I'm delighted that he now has a family heirloom, properly identified thanks to you, that he can treasure.

I think I noticed that you've authored a book on Iver Johnson firearms and planned to purchase a copy, but couldn't find a citation on amazon.com. Did you write a book and, if so, where can I find a seller?

Hello, again, Scott Ward.
  The book you are referring to was written by W.E."Bill" Goforth. The title of which is 'Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Firearms 1871-1993', published by Gun Show Books copyright 2006. Bill has been referred to as the #1 source for Iver Johnson firearms. Amazon is where I found mine. I am working on a book that includes research from my answers on this site and others.
