hi..hope you can help..i have a question about stun guns. i am thinking to maybe get one, but on u tube, i see a bunch of teenage males shocking each other and laughing. this does not make a stun gun look like a good defensive weapon. so what i need to ask you is first, are stun guns considered to be good for defense, and second, what kind would you recommend? not one that makes you laugh, but one that actually stops an attacker. thank you!

stun guns just shock and you have to get close to suspect and it does NOT incapacitate them.

A taser shoots darts with wires and if they both hit, it will drop person and continue to shock for 15 seconds, giving you time to get away.
