mare bottom timer / computer

Hi,

Did you ever find the answer on weather the mares bottom timer that has the green yellow pink strips can have the battery changed?

I can't find any infor on it and a local dive shop said no it can't but the person wasn't very pleasant or helpful.  I don't want to rely on what they told me alone.

Hi Kelly,

I'm pretty confident it would be handled only at the factory authorized service center BUT only if the unit doesn't have a 'do not repair or change battery' policy associated with it.  For example, many older Uwatec computers will NOT be serviced anymore (they don't want them on the market, apparently) so they will give you a credit towards a new unit, but no battery change.

What did Mares tell you?  I don't remember what you said last time.
