Diving mask Skirt
Question
Jesse:
I have a small tear in the skirt of my new mask. It is on the cheek lone of the mask and is about 3/8" long. Is there any way to repair this or do I need to buy a new one. No warranty it has already beed a year and I am not sure how it got the tear in th first place. Thanks
Best regards,
W. Scott Kalm
Answer
Hello Scott, sorry to hear about that tear. It is possible to try to use some silicone cement to patch the tear. On the bottom side of the tear you will have to try to smooth it as much as possible or the mask may not make a good seal. Don't be too surprised though if it doesn't stand the strain for long. Given that leaks are not fun, it may be worth buying a new mask. Consider a protective case to help reduce the chances of damage. Take care, Jesse
