Batteries in Dtigital Dive Timers(DDT)
Question
You mentioned in one of your replies that some places have figured out as to how to change a battery in a vintage DDT (e.g. Tekna). The problem is with breaking a hermetically sealed unit that had to be done by the manufacturer. However using these places voids the warranty. Since Tekna is no longer in business, that is no longer a concern. I would appreciate you forwarding to me their names/addresses/pnone numbers so I can try their sevices.
Thanks!

Answer
Wil,
In that previous answer, regarding a Mares bottom timer, I was referring to some specific units, but the Tekna timers was not among them. One of the places that used to do those was Brass Anchor in Maryland, but they no longer change the Tekna batteries due to low success rate.
I think it's going to be time for a new piece of gear.
Wish I could be of more help,
